As a Dance Teacher, you will play a vital role in fostering creativity, promoting physical fitness, and nurturing a love for dance among our students.
We are hiring Acro Teachers and Subs for all styles
Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver well-structured dance lessons that cater to various age groups and skill levels.
- Teach a variety of dance styles, including but not limited to ballet, jazz, contemporary, hip-hop, and tap.
- Demonstrate dance techniques and movements for students to emulate.
- Provide constructive feedback and guidance to help students improve their skills and artistry.
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment where all students feel comfortable and encouraged to express themselves.
- Collaborate with other dance teachers and staff to develop curriculum, showcase performances, and coordinate events.
- Stay current with dance trends, techniques, and choreography to bring fresh and innovative ideas to the classroom.
- Attend staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities as required.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to provide updates on progress and upcoming events.
- Assist in organizing and participating in dance recitals, competitions, and community performances.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Dance, Performing Arts, or related field preferred
- Proven experience as a dance teacher or instructor, with a strong portfolio showcasing your expertise in various dance styles.
- In-depth knowledge of dance techniques, choreography, and teaching methods.
- Ability to adapt teaching strategies to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Patience, enthusiasm, and a genuine passion for teaching dance to students of all ages.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail for planning lessons, events, and performances.
- Ability to create a positive and motivating learning environment that fosters creativity and self-expression.
- Knowledge of dance history, music theory, and anatomy is a plus.
- CPR and first aid certification is a plus.
